About A C Power Tech Inc
A C Power Tech Inc. operates from Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, where it relocated after initial operations in nearby Donora. The company was founded in 1998 by Alex Cerreti, who brought 18 years of maintenance management experience at Helen Mining Company and more than four decades of hands‑on expertise troubleshooting electrical substations and high‑voltage transmission lines. Cerreti remains president and still performs on‑site service and repair when needed. The firm manufactures and rebuilds power distribution centers, electrical distribution boxes ranging from single‑circuit cable extenders to multi‑circuit enclosures, and high‑voltage switch gear (vacuum switch houses) in single, dual, and triple output configurations for surface and underground use. It also builds variable‑frequency drives, reduced‑voltage soft starters, and across‑the‑line starters across any horsepower range, integrates them into belt load centers, and develops PLC systems to mesh with existing controls. A specialty line includes portable power supplies for low‑voltage tools and communications in remote areas, plus engineered electronic devices designed to replace legacy mining equipment. Primary customers are in the mining sector — coal mines, stone quarries, and salt mines — with additional work for food and beverage processors. The company supplies both new and remanufactured power centers, belt starters, distribution boxes, portable power supplies, and high‑voltage switch gear, and provides turn‑key electrical substation installations, circuit‑breaker testing and calibration, and a multifunction power‑center circuit tester used by MSHA and the Pennsylvania DEP. Cerreti founded the business to combine deep mining‑industry electrical knowledge with customized product development, emphasizing rapid troubleshooting — often resolved by telephone — and application‑specific engineering such as isolated dual switch houses and 2,500 kVA underground substations.
