About Ace Wire & Cable Co., Inc.
Ace Wire & Cable Co., Inc. was founded in 1952 by Jack Firestone in the New York metropolitan area. The business has remained in the Firestone family for three generations, with Jerry and Harris Firestone directly involved in daily operations. Headquartered in Avenel, New Jersey, with a second location in Woodside, Queens, the company serves the Northeast region including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and southern Connecticut. The company operates as a master stocking distributor of wire, cable, and connectivity products for power, voice, data, video, security, building wire, and fire alarm applications. It maintains a 30,000-square-foot warehouse in Avenel and a facility in Woodside, staffed by approximately 75 employees. Value-added services performed in-house at both locations include cutting, striping, and paralleling of cable, supported by a fleet of heavy-duty tailgate trucks for delivery. Ace Wire & Cable supplies contractors, installers, system integrators, OEMs, and end users across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Its product range covers building wiring systems, data communications, video, power, fire alarm, security, and industrial products. The company emphasizes a simplex purchasing process and logistics programs designed to support customers from project proposal through completion. The firm differentiates itself by keeping essential services in-house rather than outsourcing, a practice it says ensures personalized, professional customer service with access to knowledgeable technical support. Membership in Local Union No. 3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Supply Division reflects its longstanding ties to the electrical trade.
