About ALLIED Wholesale Electrical Supply, Inc.
Allied Wholesale Electrical Supply, Inc. (AWESI) is a family-owned electrical supply distributor headquartered in Anderson, Indiana. The company was founded in 1985 by Bob McCurdy with a focus on maintaining deep inventory and treating customers like family. His son Rob McCurdy joined the business and worked alongside his father for 16 years before purchasing the company in 2009. AWESI operates a 54,000-square-foot warehouse on the west side of Indianapolis and maintains branches in Indianapolis, Anderson, Bloomington, and Lafayette. The distributor stocks a broad range of electrical products including overhead service drop cable, service entrance cable, load centers, service masts, and a wide variety of wiring devices and hardware. Its product offering includes meter sockets, wiring devices, pole line hardware, and fastening hardware from brands such as IDEAL Industries and Arlington Industries. AWESI attributes its growth to its founding principles of inventory availability and customer loyalty, supported by a knowledgeable staff, many of whom have been with the company for over a decade.
