About American Factory Direct Furniture
American Factory Direct Furniture operates from its headquarters in Covington, Louisiana, and traces its roots to 1974 when Bob and Billie Comeaux married and visited the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina on their honeymoon. After that original business closed in the early 1990s, the family rebounded with American Factory Direct Furniture, now a third-generation, family-owned retailer serving the Gulf South. The company sells living-room, bedroom, dining-room, and mattress collections plus rugs, lighting, and accessories from brands such as Bernhardt, Hooker, Century, and Flexsteel. It maintains showrooms in Gonzales, Baton Rouge, Covington, Lafayette, and Long Beach, Mississippi, along with an outlet location in Mandeville, Louisiana. In-house delivery teams handle fulfillment, and complimentary in-home design consultations are offered to shoppers. The retailer also promotes a price-match guarantee and financing options to broaden accessibility. The brand's mascot, Gigi the Shih Tzu, serves as a lighthearted "quality control officer" for the GiGi Quality Approved program, which the company says signals comfort and craftsmanship standards on featured items.
