The company handcrafts made-to-order residential and contract furniture, including sleeper sofas, motion sofas, recliners, stationary pieces, and accent chairs. Its Dallas facility produces frames from sustainably harvested wood, offers over 500 leather and fabric upholstery options, and uses water-based pigments and fire-retardant-free foams and fabrics. All leather scraps are recycled or resold, and the operation is a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council. American Leather sells through more than 700 retail partners across the United States and supplies contract-approved collections for commercial and hospitality projects. The business was started to compress lead times from concept to delivery, and it continues to emphasize speed, quality, and customization.
