About Anchor Enterprises
Anchor Enterprises traces its roots to 1977 in Seaford, Delaware, where Asa and D. W. Peugh opened a miscellaneous metals shop in a family barn. The business remains family-owned, with the next generation now steering operations. Today the company operates as a structural steel fabricator, supplying contractors on commercial projects across the region. Its shop produces fabricated steel for a range of building types, from educational and government facilities to restaurants, office towers, and poultry processing plants. Anchor's client list reflects that breadth: recent work includes structural packages for Sussex County Government, Pocomoke High School, Perdue, Allen Family Foods, the Zwaanendael Museum, McDonald's, Worcester Career and Technology Center, the Dover Monster Mile site amenities, and the Salisbury Fire Station. The firm emphasizes its continuity as a second-generation family business that has grown from a barn startup into a major area fabricator, positioning that heritage as a foundation for reliable project execution.
