About Avis Furniture
Avis Furniture Company has operated from Kansas City, Missouri since its founding in 1959. The company began as a manufacturer of upholstered and wood seating for the office, hospitality, and restaurant sectors, building a reputation over decades of service to the restaurant community. The company produces custom tables, booths, lounge seating, and casegoods at its Kansas City factories, where seasoned craftsmen hand-build each piece using a time-tested process. The shop also fabricates complementary millwork and other custom goods to complete a space. Avis serves restaurants, bars, cafes, offices, and retail chains, often collaborating directly with architects and design firms. Its client base includes national hospitality groups such as Wholesome International, whose chief creative officer Jay Nesbitt has praised the firm's ability to deliver detailed, cost-effective solutions on tight schedules. The company emphasizes proprietary finishing processes and material quality, backing most tables with a one-year warranty and most booths with a lifetime warranty. Avis positions itself as a partner that combines handcrafted quality with the capacity to scale, offering direct access to live project managers and a commitment to on-time shipment.
