About AZ Plastics, Inc.
AZ Plastics, Inc. was founded in 2018 in Chicago Heights, Illinois, a south suburb of Chicago, by a team with extensive experience processing HDPE and HMW plastics. The company recycles post-consumer and industrial plastics — ranging from detergent bottles and milk jugs to large IBC totes and drainage pipes — into resin pellets that serve as eco-friendly substitutes for virgin plastic. At its Chicago Heights facility, incoming material is power-washed, shredded, and pelletized using current processing technology. The operation handles HDPE, HDPE frac melt, and high-molecular-weight (HMW) streams, producing injection-grade pellets, plastic skids, and container-grade resin. AZ Plastics serves a global customer base across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, supplying recycled resin to manufacturers that incorporate the material into new plastic products, packaging, and industrial components. The business was started to address the low recycling rate of plastics, with a stated goal of eliminating single-use plastic waste. AZ Plastics emphasizes its in-house laboratory for quality assurance and its membership in the Reusable Industrial Packaging Association (RIPA) as part of its commitment to a more sustainable supply chain.
