About Blue Ridge Furniture
Blue Ridge Furniture operates from Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, where it was founded in 1994 by Sidney Burkholder. The family-owned business began as a custom furnishings shop and has remained under Burkholder family stewardship since the early 2000s, with the youngest generation now working in the workshop. The company manufactures solid-wood furniture for dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, offices, and outdoor spaces, along with a signature live-edge table line. Production takes place in a dedicated finishing and hardware-assembly building, while an 11,000-square-foot showroom in nearby Narvon displays the range. Every piece is built from premium hardwoods — oak, cherry, walnut, and maple — with no veneers used. Customers include homeowners throughout the Mid-Atlantic region (Philadelphia, Lancaster, Wilmington, Baltimore, New York City) and commercial clients such as businesses ordering conference tables. The company also ships finished pieces worldwide. Blue Ridge Furniture emphasizes its position as the actual manufacturer, offering custom design consultations with rendered drawings for client approval before production, multiple finishing options including stain-color matching, and a white-glove delivery service that handles assembly and placement.
