About Brightstar Solar
Brightstar Solar, a family-owned solar installation company, was founded in 2009 by Jonathan and Mona Reese in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The couple started the business with a vision to provide renewable solar power generation with tangible benefits for customers, the environment, and the country. The company designs and installs photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial properties across Central and Eastern Massachusetts, covering Middlesex, Worcester, Norfolk, Essex, Bristol, and Plymouth counties. Since its inception, Brightstar Solar has completed over 700 installations, ranging from 10 kW to 23.2 kW systems, using all-black panel options for aesthetic integration. The owners oversee every project from initial design through construction, and the crew members each have hundreds of installations to their credit. Brightstar Solar serves homeowners and businesses seeking to generate their own electricity, offering site evaluations, custom system design, installation, and assistance with utility paperwork and financing. The company does not employ salespeople, relying instead on owner-led consultations and referrals. The founders started the company to deliver integrity, quality workmanship, and post-installation support that ensures customers' investments outperform. Their approach emphasizes low-pressure engagement and long-term customer relationships, which has earned them a spot on Solar Power World's Top Solar Contractors list for 13 consecutive years.
