E-J Industries Inc.

About E-J Industries Inc.

E-J Industries Inc. was founded in 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, as a family-owned business. His son Keith Weitzman grew up in the factory and later took over, and now Keith's son Jason is positioned to continue the legacy. The company operates a 150,000-square-foot facility a few miles from downtown Chicago, housing engineers, carpenters, and office staff. It specializes in banquette seating, millwork, and upholstery, handling projects from design and drafting through fabrication and installation. All work is performed in-house, including reupholstery services. E-J Industries serves the restaurant and hospitality industries, producing custom seating, millwork, and specialty pieces for high-end environments. Notable projects have included a 30-foot wooden guitar and a bar wall constructed from whiskey barrels, illustrating the shop's capacity for one-of-a-kind commissions. The firm emphasizes collaborative consultation from the first sketch, positioning itself as a one-stop shop that works with clients rather than simply for them. Its differentiators include multi-generational family leadership, in-house upholstery, and a commitment to handcrafted quality across every custom project.
