About EDGE Energy
EDGE Energy is based in Beltsville, Maryland, and was founded in 2006 by Jason Dispenza, who serves as CEO. The company began as a mission-driven contractor focused on helping homeowners across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia reduce energy consumption and transition to renewable sources. The firm provides a full suite of home energy services under one roof, including rooftop and ground-mount solar photovoltaic design and installation, solar system cleaning, monitoring, and repair, high-efficiency HVAC and heat pump installation, heat pump water heaters, insulation, air sealing, home energy audits, battery storage, roofing, and net-zero retrofits. All design, installation, and service work is performed by EDGE's own employees rather than subcontractors. Since 2006, the company has completed more than 5,000 projects and operates with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. EDGE Energy primarily serves residential customers in the DMV region, addressing needs ranging from solar power and electrification to weatherization and HVAC upgrades. The company also handles warranty and out-of-warranty service for all major solar brands and offers full removal and reinstallation of systems for roof replacements or structural work. The company emphasizes its in-house expertise and accountability after installation as key differentiators, citing its six-time recognition as an ENERGY STAR® Contractor of the Year by the U.S. EPA as evidence of its compliant, reliable approach.
