About Electrical Contractors Hawaii, Inc.
Electrical Contractors Hawaii, Inc. (ECH) was founded in 1998 on the island of Oahu, with its headquarters in Kapolei, Hawaii. The company began as a high‑voltage electrical contractor focused on federal military projects, installing substations, communications, CATV, and overhead and underground distribution systems. It is a service‑disabled veteran‑owned small business (SDVOSB). ECH provides full‑service electrical construction, installation, and maintenance for military, government, industrial, commercial, and residential projects. ECH employs 50–100 electricians, linemen, groundmen, and support staff, and holds C‑10, C‑62, and C‑63 licenses in Hawaii plus a General Building and C‑13 electrical license in California and Arizona. The company’s primary customers are U.S. military branches — Army, Navy, Air Force — and federal and state government agencies. Notable projects include electrical work at Pearl Harbor, Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Twenty‑Nine Palms, Hanscom AFB in Massachusetts, the Kahuku Wind Farm, Onizuka Village, Capehart/Earhart Military Housing, Ford Island, and the Red Hill Mauka project. ECH also serves commercial and industrial clients such as pump stations, sewer lift stations, airport hangars, and office buildings. ECH emphasizes a zero‑accident safety culture, earning the Associated Builders and Contractors Platinum Safety Award eight of nine years from 2003 to 2011 and multiple Excellence in Construction Grand Awards for work on military installations. The firm highlights attention to detail, dedication to quality, and an experienced supervisory workforce as key differentiators.
