About Fire Mountain Solar LLC

Fire Mountain Solar LLC is based in Mount Vernon, Washington, and has been operating since 2001. The business began with the design of an off-grid power system for the founders’ remote property, giving the team hands-on experience that still informs its work today. The firm provides a full range of solar and electrical services, including consulting and system design, full-service installation, DIY solar support, backup power solutions, and ongoing service and technical support. Its expertise spans grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid systems with battery storage, and it also supplies equipment such as solar panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and mounting hardware through its online shop. The company does not disclose facility size or employee count. Fire Mountain Solar serves homeowners, businesses, and remote-property owners across Washington and beyond. Project examples include off-grid cabins in the San Juan Islands, residential installations on Camano Island, and DIY support for a customer in La Grange, Texas. The company distinguishes itself through its deep involvement in shaping Washington’s solar industry standards, its breadth of experience across simple and highly customized systems, and its philosophy of educating customers before selling. As a family-oriented, locally rooted business, it emphasizes long-term relationships and transparent communication, positioning itself as a partner rather than a transactional contractor.
