About GMS Industries (El Paso ops)
Founded in 1989 in El Paso, Texas, GMS Industries is a family-owned packaging manufacturer now led by second-generation brothers Kris Glidden (CEO) and Cory Glidden (COO). The company began as a producer of instruction sheets and labels and has since expanded into a full-range packaging supplier with production facilities in both the United States and Mexico. GMS produces pressure-sensitive labels (including freezer- and cold-chain-rated adhesives in roll and sheet formats with variable data printing), printed instruction sheets, folding cartons, corrugated and laminate shipping boxes, rigid setup boxes, and printed paper bags. The company serves food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical, cosmetics, home and hardware, and e-commerce and retail brands. The longest client relationship spans 37 years, dating back to the company's founding. GMS positions itself as a partner rather than a vendor, emphasizing that the owning family still answers phones and walks the plant floors. Differentiators cited include quote-based pricing with no fixed catalog minimums, dual U.S.–Mexico manufacturing, in-house design, and a GSA schedule that opens federal set-aside opportunities.
