About Grado Creations
Grado Creations is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and traces its origins to 1998 when master craftsman Jose Grado began building custom furniture and cabinetry with a Southwest aesthetic. The workshop initially focused on hand-carved wood pieces, bespoke kitchen cabinets, and one-of-a-kind furniture for homes and retailers across the United States. Today the company has pivoted entirely to premium made-to-order home textiles. Its product line includes all-season quilted bedding sets, reversible water-resistant sofa slipcovers, absorbent area rugs and floor mats, and seasonal accents such as quilted tree skirts and laundry organizers. Production uses advanced direct-to-textile dye technology on high-density microfiber and poly-cotton blends, with multi-layer quilting, hypoallergenic batting, and reinforced perimeter stitching. Every item is printed, cut, and sewn individually after an order is placed, avoiding warehouse overstock. The brand serves the home decor and lifestyle market, targeting consumers who want rustic, Southwestern-inspired textiles that withstand daily use by pets and children. Its direct-to-consumer channel ships nationwide, and the product assortment — exemplified by pet-proof sofa covers, machine-washable quilts, and cabin-themed bedding — is designed for practical, lived-in spaces. Grado Creations says its differentiation lies in four pillars: authentic heritage-inspired designs rooted in Southwestern and lodge aesthetics; engineering for real-life durability (water-resistant, non-slip, machine-washable); a conscious made-to-order model that reduces textile waste; and transparent, US-based customer support with free shipping on orders over $150 and a 30-day return window.
