Green Gables Inc

About Green Gables Inc

Green Gables Furniture operates from Bradford, Illinois. The company traces its roots to the 1980s when a family-owned operation began building furniture out of a three-car garage. It remains proudly family owned today, with no outside ownership changes mentioned. The firm manufactures solid wood furniture in the United States, working with reclaimed barnwood, live-edge hardwoods, and species such as Walnut, Cherry, Hickory, and White Oak. Production combines traditional woodworking techniques with contemporary design, incorporating steel accents and preserving natural character marks like knots, saw marks, and grain variation. The company notes that these features are not imperfections but what make each piece one of a kind. Specific facility size, headcount, and annual volume are not disclosed. End customers purchase pieces for home use, ranging from rustic Western styles to clean, modern collections such as the Silverton and Steelbound lines. The company emphasizes distinctive design, authentic materials, and craftsmanship that can be seen and felt. Its stated goal is to build beautiful, honest furniture with real character — pieces that don’t simply fill a room but become part of it — and to build them well enough to be enjoyed for generations.
