Haven Steel Products began building its first production facility in Haven, Kansas, in 1968 and started producing spring steel components the following year. The privately owned company was founded as a fabricator for the agricultural, construction, and trailer industries, and the original 7,000‑square‑foot building has since grown to more than 200,000 square feet of production space across two plants in Haven, Kansas, and McKenzie, Tennessee.
