About Hoboken Custom Craft
Hoboken Custom Craft operates from a workshop in Hoboken, New Jersey. The company was founded by Anton David, managing partner of Avid Handyman and Construction, a locally owned and operated handyman and construction firm serving Hoboken, Jersey City, and surrounding areas. David established HCC as a sister company to provide clients with unique residential and commercial furnishings, assembling a team of designers, carpenters, and finishers. The shop functions as a full-service woodworking operation, handling planning, design, fabrication, and installation. Its output ranges from simple storage solutions and full closet build-outs to heirloom-quality furniture pieces. Work is carried out in the company's Hoboken workshop by the in-house team of designers, carpenters, and finishers. The business serves both residential and commercial customers. Projects have included custom closet systems for homeowners and furnishings for commercial spaces. The close relationship with Avid Handyman and Construction also allows HCC to extend its services to that firm's client base, providing turnkey solutions from conception through final installation. The company's stated philosophy is to think "there is no box" rather than merely outside it, aiming to deliver cutting-edge designs without conventional restrictions. Clients are invited to participate in the fabrication process through progress photos or workshop visits, and projects can start from a Pinterest board, a napkin sketch, or a simple idea.
