About House of Alpine - Handcrafted Custom Wood Furniture
House of Alpine operates from Englewood, Colorado, in the Denver metropolitan area. The company was founded by Mike Rudd, an industrial designer who relocated from Sydney, Australia, where he had previously grown a furniture business. Rudd established House of Alpine to bring his design sensibility—shaped by a love for nature and the Rocky Mountains—to the local market. The shop specializes in custom solid-wood furniture, handling every step from hand-selecting lumber to final artisan craftsmanship. No facility size or headcount figures are published. The company positions itself as a local provider of high-quality, affordable custom furniture, though specific industry verticals or named accounts are not disclosed. Rudd’s background in industrial design and his experience scaling a furniture operation in Sydney inform the company’s approach: elegant, sophisticated, and simplistic designs that reflect the surrounding landscape. The founder describes the work as honest, passionate, and authentic, with a goal of creating furniture that endures a lifetime.
