About Hubbingtons Furniture
Hubbingtons Furniture operates two showrooms in Barrington and North Hampton, New Hampshire. The company was founded in 1994 when the owners registered the name with the state before securing a location on Route 125 in Barrington. A consignment agreement with Hitchcock Chair provided $30,000 of furniture on a free-loaner program, allowing the first store to open in September 1994 with a full showroom floor. The retailer carries exclusively American-made furniture across dining, bedroom, living room, office, entertainment, children’s, and outdoor categories, representing dozens of regional builders such as Gat Creek, Copeland, Smith Brothers, and Amish Country Poly. Every delivery is unwrapped and inspected before it reaches the customer. The store’s pricing model matches or beats competitor sale prices every day, and staff act as consultants rather than commissioned salespeople. The business was started to give local buyers the same low prices as distant discounters while keeping the purchase experience personal and transparent. Ownership emphasizes long-term community roots, honest service, and a curated selection of furniture that customers can be proud to own.
