About Industrial Container and Supply Company
Industrial Container and Supply Company is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The business was founded in 1962 by Reid Johnson as a sole proprietorship operating out of a basement, initially supplying industrial gallon bottles to the chemical industry. In April 1966 Joseph Goodman joined as a partner, and the company incorporated in Utah on July 5, 1966, remaining family-owned ever since. Today the company operates as a stocking distributor of packaging containers, jars, drums, closures, pumps and sprayers. Its 240,000-square-foot warehouse holds more than 3,500 unique items in plastic, glass and steel. Inventory is available for same-day shipping, and the firm runs a delivery fleet that includes two box trucks, six tractors and 16 trailers serving the Wasatch Front and nationwide. The distributor serves customers across all 50 states in industries such as chemicals, personal care, construction, food and general industrial markets. It supports both small and large buyers with no minimum order requirement, offering less-than-case quantities as well as truckload volumes. As a family-owned operation, the company emphasizes personal service, affordable pricing regardless of order size, and an experienced sales team that helps customers find packaging solutions. The founders’ original commitment to accessibility and growth alongside customers continues to drive the business.
