About Innovative Switchgear Solutions, Inc.
Innovative Switchgear Solutions, Inc. was headquartered in Dacono, Colorado, before being acquired by Eaton Corporation. The acquisition integrated the company's solid-dielectric switchgear line into Eaton's medium-voltage power distribution portfolio. No founding year or original ownership structure is disclosed in public sources. The company's core product is the ISG-SD series of solid-dielectric switchgear, offered in padmounted, submersible, and vaultmount or wallmount configurations. The design eliminates oil and SF6 gas, using a sealed 304 stainless-steel tank that provides a dead-front, visible open isolation point operated by a single handle. The compact footprint replicates the dimensions, bushing patterns, and phasing of traditional oil- and SF6-insulated units, allowing straightforward replacement in existing installations. A noted collaboration with Siemens Energy aims to accelerate data-center construction timelines, indicating a focus on the rapidly expanding data-center infrastructure market. The product's differentiation rests on its oil-free and SF6-free insulation, the safety of a dead-front visible break, and the mechanical compatibility with legacy switchgear footprints.
