About Interiors By Design
Interiors By Design operates a 40,000-square-foot showroom and design studio at 322 N 26th Street in Bismarck, North Dakota. The business traces its roots to 1967 when Florence opened Interiors by Florence on Thayer Avenue. At 15, France Splonskowski joined on commission, later purchasing the store with his wife Holly in 1987 and renaming it Interiors by France. In 2021, their children Kim and Kelly rebranded the combined residential and commercial operations—including the Office Visions sister company founded in 1993—under the current name. The company functions as a full-service interior design retailer, offering residential and commercial design services, custom furniture specification, flooring, finishes, window treatments, and accessories. Its 40,000-square-foot facility combines showroom space with a warehouse, enabling same-day take-home purchases on stocked items. Services include complimentary design consultations, space planning, white-glove delivery and setup, and financing options. Clients range from homeowners and builders to businesses seeking office furnishings. The firm collaborates with partner brands to supply furniture for projects of any scale, from single-room refreshes to large commercial installations. The ownership emphasizes a client-centric mission built on long-term relationships rather than transaction volume, citing competitive pricing through brand partnerships and a free initial consultation as core differentiators.
