About J. B. Prince Company
J. B. Prince Company was founded in 1977 by Judy Prince in a Brooklyn brownstone. The business began with the idea of giving working chefs direct access to the finest professional tools in the world. Today, the company operates a showroom in Chelsea Market at 75 9th Avenue, New York, NY. The company distributes a wide range of professional culinary equipment and supplies, including cutlery, cookware, kitchen utensils, pastry tools, production molds, and machinery such as the Pacojet 4 and Kasai Grills. It carries over 20 brands, including de Buyer, Silikomart, Matfer, and Breville. The operation includes a retail showroom and an e-commerce platform; no manufacturing facility is described. The primary customers are professional chefs, pastry chefs, and foodservice establishments. The founding principle—direct access to the world's finest professional tools—remains the stated differentiator.
