About Lange Brothers Woodwork Co., Inc.
Lange Brothers Woodwork Co., Inc. has operated from Milwaukee, Wisconsin since 1932. The family-owned business was founded by the Lange family and has remained under their stewardship for over nine decades, partnering with architects, general contractors, and building owners across the Midwest, including Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago. The company produces custom architectural woodwork spanning millwork, cabinetry, wall paneling, mouldings, and ornamental pieces. It manufactures its own mouldings using thousands of templated profiles and works with complementary materials such as glass, stone, leather, and acoustical metal. The shop combines CNC machining with hand assembly and finishing, employing a lean manufacturing approach alongside old-world craftsmanship. Services extend from design consulting and budgeting through installation and ongoing maintenance. Lange Brothers serves healthcare, government, office, entertainment and casino, education, historical restoration, and places of worship sectors. Notable projects include the Wilton Brands office headquarters in Chicago, the St. Paul's University Catholic Foundation in Madison, the Rush Copley healthcare facility, the North Shore Cinema in Mequon, Marquette University women's lockers, the fire-damaged Hedberg Mansion restoration, and the Federal Building in Milwaukee. The firm emphasizes full-service delivery per Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) guide sections, daily CNC calibration, and rigorous assembly inspections. It measures success by client confidence rather than revenue, and its AWI membership and peer recognition underscore its quality commitment.
