About Lectron Industries
Lectron Industries was founded in 1981 in Union, New Jersey, by a former U.S. Air Force radar technician who served on the F-4 Phantom, including a tour in Vietnam. After leaving the service, he worked for a semiconductor testing and sales company before launching his own wholesale distribution business. The company operates as a wholesale distributor of power and discrete semiconductors, supplying electronic components to manufacturers of power, repair, medical, and testing equipment. Lectron does not manufacture parts itself; instead, it sources from a network of quality manufacturers and provides technical expertise to match components to application requirements. Its customer base consists primarily of original equipment manufacturers in the power electronics, medical device, test and measurement, and repair sectors. The distributor serves clients nationwide and worldwide from its Union, New Jersey facility. Lectron emphasizes its founder’s hands-on technical background and more than 45 years of industry experience as the foundation for its ability to deliver reliable, high-quality semiconductor solutions. Membership in the Union Township Chamber of Commerce reflects its local business roots.
