About Les Hall Filter USA (Formerly Oil Filter Service)
Les Hall Filter USA operates from Portland, Oregon, tracing its roots to 1959 when Navy engineer Les Hall retired and began supplying industrial products to commercial marine operators on the docks of Vancouver, British Columbia. The business remained privately held after Hall’s death in 1971 and later merged with Oil Filter Service, a Pacific Northwest company founded in 1946 that specialized in filtration and high-performance hydraulic hose and fittings. The combined entity, Les Hall Filter USA, continues as a privately owned distributor. The company supplies heavy-duty filters, hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters, and filtration equipment. Customers span logging, construction, marine, and manufacturing operations, as well as industrial supply houses, automotive repair shops, and marine dealers. The firm’s fleet surveys and inventory programs serve commercial vessel operators, heavy-equipment fleets, and manufacturing facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Les Hall Filter USA emphasizes its regional inventory breadth, vendor consolidation, and guaranteed availability of critical components as key differentiators. The company was built to combine deep technical expertise with a broad product assortment to compete against larger multinationals while maintaining personalized service.
