About Living Designs Furniture
Living Designs Furniture operates from Houston, Texas, where it has been handcrafting custom furniture for more than 45 years. The company was founded by Youval Meicler, who arrived from Israel at age 21 and worked his way up from sweeping floors at a furniture manufacturer to learning every aspect of the craft. Determined to offer better quality without inflated markups, Meicler established the business as a family-owned operation that remains under family stewardship today. The company manufactures sofas, sectionals, chairs, bed frames, ottomans, outdoor pieces, and dining banquettes in its Houston factory. Skilled craftsmen build each item using solid wood frames and precision-stitched finishes, with customers choosing from over 25 collections and customizing dimensions, configurations, fabrics, and leathers. In-stock inventory is available for next-day delivery, while custom orders typically ship in 8–10 weeks. Living Designs serves residential homeowners, interior designers through its Designers + Partners Program, and hospitality clients such as lounges and dining areas. Meicler's founding principle—that people deserve better quality, better prices, and a better experience—still drives the business. The company emphasizes locally sourced materials, transparent pricing, and a hands-on design process that lets customers tour the workshop and see their furniture take shape.
