Mark One Metal Works was founded in 1996 in Sparks, Nevada, by Mark, a fabricator whose career began in his teens as a transmission mechanic under his father John. After managing the fabrication department at a Peterbilt dealership in Reno, he launched Levco Transmission in 1991 and ran it for 15 years before selling to pursue off-road racing. He then led production at Torchmate, a CNC plasma cutting manufacturer, scaling its output significantly. That blend of machining, fabrication, CAD design, and artistic sensibility led him to establish Mark One Metal Works as a custom metal fabrication and design shop serving the Reno–Sparks area and beyond. The shop provides a wide range of metalworking services: machining, welding (including TIG), tube bending, CNC plasma cutting on a Lincoln Electric table, and 2D/3D CAD design. It handles both one-off prototypes and production runs, producing items that span industrial fabrications, commercial architectural elements (railings, gates, stairs), residential furniture (desks, tables, doors, fixtures), off-road and hot-rod components, and custom signs, trophies, and awards.
