About Mill Outlet Fabric Shop
Mill Outlet Fabric Shop has operated from Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1965, when Richard Weightman opened the store. After 29 years, Weightman sold the business to longtime employee Ingrid Kuehn and her husband Johann in 1994; they ran the shop for 27 years before retiring. On October 1, 2021, Natalie Mielke, a former accountant and airport business manager, purchased the store and now runs it with her daughter Tiffany Morin and granddaughters, continuing the family-oriented atmosphere. The shop stocks a broad range of fabrics including cottons, silks, satins, velvet, rayons, linens, jersey, fleece, spandex, wool, duck cloth, Cordura, oilcloth, gauze, outdoor fabrics, and pillow forms. It also carries upholstery and drapery materials with associated hardware. Notions are a specialty: slide buckles, cam buckles, D‑rings, hooks, cording, cord locks, webbing, Velcro, and over 3,000 button styles in multiple sizes and colors. New inventory arrives weekly, with anywhere from five to 200 bolts received per shipment.
