About Mississippi Solar, LLC
Mississippi Solar, LLC is based in Eupora, Mississippi. The company was founded in 2008 by Will and Carolyn Hegman and officially registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State in 2009. It was the first commercial electrical contractor in the state to receive a Specialty Wind & Solar classification. Today the business is owned and operated by John and Virginia Wilbanks, both Mississippi natives, and remains family-owned. The firm designs and installs turn-key solar photovoltaic and battery-backup systems for residential and commercial customers across Mississippi. It also sells, installs, and services Generac home and business standby generators in more than 20 counties, and fits Level 2 and 3 EV charging stations, energy-management thermostats, and LP-tank monitoring. The company acts as a commercial electrical contractor and residential builder, handling permitting, project management, and ongoing system monitoring. Mississippi Solar serves homeowners, businesses, farms, and institutional clients. Early projects included a poultry farm, a sports arena, and the state's first commercial utility-scale solar PV system as well as the first grid-tie and grid-tie-with-battery installations under the TVA Generation Partners program. The company also supports generator customers in counties such as Lafayette, Pontotoc, Lee, and Lowndes. The company emphasizes its local roots and code expertise, NABCEP-certified installers, and status as a Generac Power Pro Elite Plus dealer. It backs installations with a 25-year module warranty through REC Solar, lifetime system monitoring, and a five-year workmanship warranty. Its stated mission is to empower customers with reliable, worry-free energy independence, sustainability, and backup power.
