Nimbletronics, LLC was founded in 2006 in Plano, Texas, by Chester Nguyen and Cuong Nguyen. Both owners brought decades of electronics manufacturing experience from prior roles at companies such as NVIDIA, Creative Labs, Hitachi Semiconductor, and through multiple acquisitions of Texas Prototypes, TXP, Asymblix, and Circuitronics. The company emerged from a core team that had worked together since 2006, surviving three acquisitions before establishing Nimbletronics as an independent contract manufacturer. The company provides electronics manufacturing services with a focus on quick-turn printed circuit board assembly for low-volume, high-mix orders. Its 20-foot-ceiling, humidity-controlled facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex’s Research/Technology Crossroads district houses two SMT lines equipped with Juki pick-and-place machines, Heller nitrogen reflow ovens, EKRA screen printers, and automated optical and X-ray inspection. Processes cover surface-mount placement down to 0.20 mm pitch (including 01005 and 0201 components), through-hole, rework, clean and no-clean chemistries, and both RoHS lead-free and tin-lead soldering. Additional services include top-level mechanical assembly, cabling, flying-probe test (via partner), turnkey procurement, DFM feedback, and PCB layout and design. The shop handles prototypes, revision re-spins, alpha and beta builds, and low-to-mid-volume production with turn times ranging from same-day to 25 days. Nimbletronics serves engineers and OEMs across semiconductor, medical, telecommunications, defense, security, audio, video, industrial, energy, radio-frequency, and network markets. Customers typically require rapid iteration on complex designs, such as fine-pitch BGAs, chip-scale packages, stacked die, and rigid-flex circuits. The founders created Nimbletronics to build a “family-like, yet professional” culture that prioritizes on-time delivery and quality without bureaucracy. The team’s continuity through prior acquisitions is cited as proof of its ability to adapt quickly to changing customer demands, and the company’s mission is to provide a dynamic environment that turns engineers’ visions into reality on schedule.
