About Old Colony Furniture
Old Colony Furniture operates from a 30,000-square-foot showroom on Augusta Road in Greenville, South Carolina. The business was founded in 1946 by the family of the current third-generation partner, who notes that the company was built on a philosophy of selling top-quality furniture backed by excellent customer service. The founder’s grandfather, father, and two uncles established the reputation that the current ownership continues to uphold. The company functions as a furniture retailer and design resource, offering a curated selection of furnishings, rugs, art, and accessories for every room. Its showroom displays inventory from brands such as Stickley and Sherrill, and the firm provides in-house design services to help clients realize their vision. The physical footprint and product assortment position it as a destination for both retail shoppers and design professionals. Primary customers include residential buyers and interior designers seeking quality furnishings and design consultation. The firm differentiates itself through its multi-generational family ownership, the breadth of its showroom experience, and a stated commitment to quality and service that has persisted since its founding. These elements are presented as the foundation of its 80-year presence in the Greenville market.
