About PACIFIC ICE SERVICES INC
Pacific Ice Services Inc. has operated from Honolulu, Hawaii since its founding in 1973. The company began as a local commercial refrigeration venture started by two friends, one of whom was inspired by his father's ice machine leasing business to package and sell ice to Waikiki hotels. In 2008, the original owner relocated to Florida and transferred leadership to a longtime lead technician, preserving the locally owned and operated character of the business. The firm specializes in commercial ice machine sales, rental, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair, along with commercial refrigeration and water filtration system services. Its technicians hold EPA certification and serve as factory-authorized service representatives for major ice machine brands. Pacific Ice Services serves restaurants, hotels, cafés, and other businesses on Oahu that require reliable ice production and refrigeration. The company cites clients in the hospitality and food-service sectors, though specific customer names are not listed. The company emphasizes its legacy as the "ICE MAN" of Oahu, highlighting its BBB A+ rating, EPA-certified technicians, and factory authorizations as differentiators. Its founding narrative traces a path from a small ice-packaging operation to a full-service refrigeration provider after the closure of Hawaii's major ice plant.
