About Pick Tennessee Products
Pick Tennessee Products operates from the Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where it has functioned as a division of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture for more than three decades. The state-run program was created to connect consumers with the full range of goods and experiences originating from Tennessee farms and food businesses. These experiences span farmers markets, pick-your-own operations, corn mazes, farm petting zoos, festivals, on-farm lodging, pumpkin patches, and event venues. Pick Tennessee Products also administers the Ag Tag specialty license plate program, with each dollar directed to the Tennessee Agricultural Development Fund to support youth organizations, agricultural and forestry education, marketing initiatives, and local farms and farmers markets. The directory serves Tennessee farmers, food processors, beverage producers, artisan makers, and agritourism operators by providing a centralized platform to reach retail buyers, restaurants, and the general public. Shoppers and procurement professionals can search by product category, experience type, or specific business name to source locally grown and made items. The initiative was launched to strengthen Tennessee's agricultural economy by making farm-based products and experiences more visible and accessible, while the Ag Tag revenue stream provides ongoing financial support for agricultural education and community-based farm markets.
