About Positive Energy Solar
Positive Energy Solar is an employee-owned solar installation and service company headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a second office in Santa Fe. Founded in 1997 by Allan Sindelar, the business began in the Santa Fe Business Incubator and became one of its first successful graduates. In 2004, NABCEP-certified installers Randy Sadewic and Mark Drummond joined as co-owners, expanding the company’s technical leadership. The firm provides turnkey sustainable energy solutions across New Mexico, including residential and commercial solar installation, battery storage, backup power systems, and electric vehicle charger installation. A full-time, in-house service department handles maintenance, repair, inverter replacement, and diagnostics for both company-installed and orphaned systems. With over 120 employees — more than 75 of them employee-owners — Positive Energy has completed more than 5,000 installations since inception. Customers range from homeowners and real estate professionals seeking pre-purchase inspections to businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits throughout the state. The company’s local focus means it serves urban and rural communities alike, including remote northern New Mexico properties. Positive Energy operates as a certified Benefit Corporation under a triple-bottom-line philosophy that weighs people, planet, and profit equally. Its 30-year complete-confidence warranty covers parts, performance, and labor, reflecting a commitment to long-term value over high-pressure sales. The employee-ownership model aligns the team’s incentives with customer outcomes, reinforcing a culture of accountability and community reinvestment.
