About Power Plus
Power Plus is headquartered in Anaheim, California, and was founded in 1987 by Steve Bray. Bray, a former electrician working on Southern California construction sites, recognized that contractors needed more than equipment—they needed reliable problem-solvers. The company began as a small temporary power operation in Orange County. Today, Power Plus operates nationwide with 500–999 employees and describes itself as the largest independent power solutions provider in America. Services span utility infrastructure, permanent electrical installation, and portable equipment sales. The company serves construction, oil and gas, mining, disaster response, agriculture, healthcare, data centers, retail distribution, commercial facilities, critical infrastructure, and telecommunications. Its customer base includes Amazon, Walmart, Costco, and roughly half of the Fortune 100. In the 1990s, Power Plus supplied power for global entertainment productions such as the Rolling Stones tour, Olympic events, and the Super Bowl. Power Plus emphasizes a problem-solving culture: technicians walk sites, listen to requirements, and design custom solutions rather than offering cookie-cutter packages. The firm maintained a no-layoff policy during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting a people-first philosophy rooted in Bray’s original vision of doing whatever it takes to deliver power whenever and wherever it is needed.
