About Profab Metal Works, LLC. (Ironworks)
Profab Metal Works, LLC operates as a welding and fabrication shop in Athens, Alabama. The company was founded by Jeremiah Barker and Lee Vickers to provide custom welding and fabrication services to the Athens, Madison, and Huntsville areas. The shop delivers custom welding and fabrication for residential and commercial clients, producing gates, fences, handrails, and custom mailboxes as an Imperial Mailbox dealer. It also handles welding repairs and miscellaneous projects such as fowl racks and the Merchant's Alley sign for the Athens Mainstreet Beautification project. Processes cover welding and fabrication in mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Customers span residential, commercial, construction, industrial, and municipal sectors. Homeowners and businesses in the Athens–Huntsville corridor request gates, fences, and railings; contractors and industrial firms rely on the shop for structural welding; the city of Athens commissioned a decorative sign for its downtown beautification effort. The founders emphasize high-quality custom fabrication and fair‑priced welding repairs. Barker brings over 17 years of experience across residential, commercial, construction, and industrial welding, plus teaching credentials from Drake State Technical College and Calhoun Community College. Vickers, a former NFL player and local business owner, adds entrepreneurial leadership through his landscaping firm.
