About SanTan Solar
SanTan Solar is based in Gilbert, Arizona, in the southeast valley of Phoenix. Founded in 1999 as a family-owned business, the company took its name from the nearby SanTan Mountain, a desert peak known for intense sunshine and high temperatures. The company operates as a solar equipment distributor, stocking an extensive inventory of new and used solar panels, inverters, batteries, mounting hardware, and complete solar kits from brands such as Canadian Solar, EG4, and K2. It provides custom system design, financing options through partners like Affirm, PayPal, and Figure HELOC, and lifetime technical support for DIY customers and professional installers. A customer review describes the Gilbert facility as massive with a streamlined will-call pickup process. SanTan Solar serves residential and commercial solar markets, off-grid enthusiasts, and professional installers across the United States. Its customer base includes homeowners building custom arrays, contractors sourcing EG4 batteries and K2 racking, and DIYers seeking affordable used panels for seasonal use. The company’s stated mission is to make energy independence accessible by offering solar products for any budget. It differentiates itself through family-owned values, transparent pricing, dedicated pre- and post-purchase support, and a focus on both DIY and installer-friendly service.
