About Santee Wire Products Inc
Santee Wire Products Inc was founded in 1983 by T.D. Powell in Holly Hill, South Carolina. Powell began his career at Andrews Wire/Georgetown Steel in 1970 and later moved to Beaumont, Texas, where Georgetown Steel built a plant. In 1983 he returned to South Carolina to start his own venture, establishing the company with straight and cut machines. The business remains family owned and operated. The company produces wire products using processes that include wire drawing, straightening, cutting, and annealing. An annealing furnace was installed in 1993 to expand capabilities. Operations are housed in a temperature-controlled warehouse, and the company notes that most items are kept in stock for prompt shipment. Santee Wire Products serves a range of industries that use wire for springs, bedding, furniture, automotive components, display racks, sod staples, and insulation supports.
