About Solar Pro
Solar Pro operates from Rapid City, South Dakota, serving the Black Hills region. The company was formed when two established local contractors, Wires-R-Us and Hunter Homes, combined their teams to focus on solar installation. Each principal brings more than 20 years of customer-service experience in the area. The firm designs and installs grid-interactive and off-grid solar arrays for homes and businesses, integrating hybrid inverters and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery storage. Installations use black residential modules for rooftops and bifacial modules for ground mounts, all monitored through a real-time app. Solar Pro also handles permitting, interconnection, and ongoing maintenance, including inverter repair and panel cleaning. Customers range from individual homeowners and landlords to production builders such as Hunter Homes, which includes a Solar Pro system in every new house, and commercial operators seeking to lower operating costs through peak-shaving and time-of-use optimization. The company has also equipped off-grid commercial shops in the region. Solar Pro emphasizes locally rooted service, personalized system design based on each client’s usage profile, and a commitment to components that carry maximum manufacturer warranties. The founders’ stated goal is to provide a worry-free, hands-free energy solution backed by direct after-sales support from the installers themselves.
