About Switchgear Solutions, An IPS Company
Switchgear Solutions, An IPS Company, was founded in 1992 in Tucson, Arizona, where it maintains its corporate office and a 46,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The business began as a circuit breaker rebuilding and switchgear maintenance operation and has since expanded into a full-service electrical apparatus manufacturer. The company designs, builds, tests, and remanufactures low- and medium-voltage circuit breakers, switchgear, variable frequency drives, and control systems. Its shop services cover repair, refurbishment, and power-quality testing for all types of switchgear, while field teams provide 24/7 emergency response, on-site maintenance, and disaster recovery. Switchgear Solutions also serves as a factory-authorized distributor for Toshiba equipment and offers the proprietary Safe-T-Rack® remote breaker racking system. The company’s engineered products group develops custom controls and safety solutions for specific applications, and its aftermarket program rebuilds legacy switchgear to extend asset life. Leadership comes from an executive team with backgrounds in manufacturing, utility, consulting, and service sectors.
