About The Little Potato Company - Potato Processing, Packaging, Distribution
The Little Potato Company is headquartered in DeForest, Wisconsin. The company traces its roots to 1996 when Angela and her father started with two shovels, a rented one-acre plot, and a dream in Canada. Canadian owned and operated since 1996, the business expanded to the United States in 2016, establishing American operations in Wisconsin. The company partners with family farms such as Coloma Farms, which has been operating since 1961, and growers like Steve who joined his family farm after college and has supplied the company since 2016. The company specializes in growing, processing, packaging, and distributing small potato varieties. Working with a network of family farms across Canada and the U.S., it oversees planning, planting, growing, harvesting, and storing practices through its variety development team. The potatoes are packaged into consumer-ready products, including microwave-ready flavored lines such as Savory Herb and garlic and herb, and distributed to retail stores. Its customers include busy families seeking convenient, fresh whole-food options, as evidenced by consumer testimonials. The company also partners with retail and office partners for distribution. The business was built around family values—integrity, reliability, respect, and humility—and aims to create "little moments of happiness" for consumers. Sustainability is a core belief, reflected in responsible farmland use and generational partnerships with farming families.
