Tiger Solar

About Tiger Solar

Tiger Solar was founded in 2005 in Charlottesville, Virginia, establishing a local presence in the mid-Atlantic region. The company began as a solar installation firm focused on residential and commercial projects, later expanding to serve agricultural clients and offer battery storage and electric vehicle charging solutions. The company designs and installs photovoltaic systems for homes, businesses, and farms, and integrates battery backup and EV charging infrastructure. Operating from branches in Charlottesville and Staunton, Virginia, as well as Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Washington, D.C., Tiger Solar has completed projects across ten states. Residential clients include a Maryland homeowner who praised the firm’s educational approach. Commercial references feature Bizstream in Michigan, which highlighted tax incentive guidance and energy production modeling. Agricultural customers include Hillside Ranch in Idaho, where solar offsets irrigation pumping costs. The company emphasizes a service philosophy built on “People Before Projects,” “No Pushy Sales,” and “With You for the Long Haul.” It avoids door-to-door solicitation, instead focusing on education and long-term relationship building. Tiger Solar states that its motivation is to deliver a win for the customer, which in turn becomes a win for the company, and it commits to staying accessible for the life of each system.
