About Traditional Woodcraft
Jay, who had been woodworking since high school and ran an antique refinishing store, started the business with small projects and hired his first employee in 1986. In 2005, his son Jacob joined as an apprentice, and today the two operate the shop side by side. The shop produces custom kitchen cabinets and islands, bathroom vanities, solid-wood doors and millwork, built-in closets, and handcrafted furniture such as bookcases, mantels, and dining tables. Work is designed using computer software and then built by hand in a small facility that emphasizes detailed finishing. The company describes itself as a small shop, allowing personal attention to each project. Traditional Woodcraft serves residential customers throughout central Washington, including Leavenworth, Wenatchee, Chelan, and Lake Wenatchee. Its clients are primarily homeowners and custom home builders seeking made-to-order woodwork for kitchens, living spaces, and entryways. The company says its trademark is finishing detail combined with quality craftsmanship meant to last for years. It maintains an old-fashioned, one-of-a-kind approach, valuing creative design and personal client relationships over volume production.
