About U.S. Outdoor Lighting (formerly US Pole Co.)
U.S. Outdoor Lighting operates from a modern facility in Palmdale, California, where it relocated in 2002 after originating in nearby Sun Valley. The company was founded in 1984 by Joseph Straus as U.S. Pole Co., Inc., and has spent more than four decades building a domestic manufacturing operation focused on architectural outdoor luminaires and decorative poles. The company designs and produces LED outdoor luminaires, light poles, and architectural fixtures across six distinct product lines. Sun Valley Ltg covers traditional and historic designs; U.S. Architectural Ltg addresses contemporary site and area lighting with advanced optics; Amerilume Ltg supplies budget-friendly commercial and industrial fixtures; Ameriscape Ltg provides landscape lighting; U.S. Sport Ltg serves sports fields and courts; and U.S. Pole delivers poles, arms, bases, and accessories. Manufacturing is vertically integrated and performed in the United States, with products built to meet Buy American Act and Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements. Customers span architectural, commercial, industrial, sports, and landscape lighting markets. The fixtures are specified for projects ranging from gas stations, retail centers, and parking garages to city parks, school athletic fields, and dedicated pickleball or tennis courts.
