About Uranus Fudge Factory & General Store - Uranus Missouri
Uranus Fudge Factory & General Store began on July 2, 2015, when founder Mayor Louie Keen opened the original location on Historic Route 66 in St. Robert, Missouri. The concept was born from a dare to create a roadside destination that captured old-school Americana — fun, family, and a good laugh — and it quickly became a travel landmark halfway between St. Louis and Springfield. The company produces fudge fresh by hand every day, offering 18 signature flavors such as pumpkin pie nut and lemon iced tea, alongside 80-plus apparel designs, snacks, and novelty gifts. Operations have expanded to three physical locations: the St. Robert flagship (with mini golf, a sideshow museum, ice cream, and the "World's Largest Belt Buckle"); Anderson, Indiana (opened 2022 off I-69 Exit 222, adding an 18-hole mini golf course and playground); and Richmond, Indiana (opened late 2024 at I-70 Exit 156B), a 15,000-square-foot mega-store featuring a vortex tunnel, animatronic dinosaurs, a vintage bi-plane, a shooting gallery, and a dog park. An e-commerce site ships orders over $75 free within the continental U.S. The brand serves tourists, highway travelers, families, and gift shoppers across the Midwest and beyond, drawing visitors from around the world who want to say they've been to Uranus. The company cites more than 20,000 five-star customer reviews as evidence of its appeal.
