About UrbanTimberSupply
Founded in 2015 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Urban Timber Supply began by crafting custom furniture from locally salvaged hardwood, often sourced from trees that have been part of a family's history for generations. The company transforms these logs into pieces intended to last for generations to come. The workshop produces a range of custom wood furniture, from small handcrafted items such as executive pens to 15-foot conference tables. Using live-edge slabs of walnut, maple, ash, poplar, cherry, and oak, the team mills, finishes, and occasionally incorporates epoxy resin to accentuate the natural character of each piece. An inventory of hand-selected slabs — black walnut up to 15 feet long and maple up to 15 feet long — is kept on hand for immediate projects. Urban Timber Supply serves both residential and commercial clients. Homeowners commission dining tables, benches, and statement pieces like a black walnut pool table built into a beachfront home. Commercial projects include office builds and conference tables, notably a custom table installed in the historic Murfreesboro Courthouse. The company emphasizes preserving the story embedded in the wood. Its approach centers on well-sourced material, careful craftsmanship, and designs meant to feel personal, substantial, and lasting — turning a client's own tree into a functional heirloom.
