About WhyGen Solar
WhyGen Solar is headquartered in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with additional offices in Tempe, Arizona, and Westminster, Colorado. The company was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic by CEO Aaron Rice, who adopted the "Start With Why" philosophy to create a business centered on empowering sales professionals in the solar industry. The firm provides solar energy solutions for both residential and commercial customers across the Southwest. Its service portfolio includes outright system purchases, solar loans, and lease or power-purchase agreements, each backed by warranties covering parts, labor, and in some cases production. Installations are performed at homes and businesses in New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. WhyGen Solar serves homeowners seeking to reduce utility bills and businesses aiming to power operations with clean energy. The company markets directly to end users in the residential and commercial segments, offering consultation, financing coordination, and installation management. The founding premise was that when sales representatives thrive, customers win. Rice built the organization around training, support, and an experience-focused culture for its sales force, a differentiator he identified as missing in a market he viewed as overly profit-driven.
